Terms of sale

YOU ARE THE LEVEL is a single-player puzzle game for Windows, made and sold by lismbo. The full game costs $3.99 (US dollars, plus any tax your country adds at checkout). It is a one-time purchase: there is no subscription, no advertising and nothing to buy inside the game.

Direct purchases are processed by Stripe. After payment you receive an itch.io download key on the confirmation page. The key gives you the game on itch.io, including future updates, for as long as the game is available there. Please keep the key: it is your proof of purchase.

Buying the game gives you a personal licence to play it. You may not resell or redistribute the game files. Online features (accounts, Community levels, mods and leaderboards) are free extras that we try to keep running, and may change over time. We may suspend accounts that break the community rules (offensive names or content, cheating, harassment); this does not affect your offline game.

Refunds

If the game doesn't work for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of buying it and you will get your money back, no questions asked. Contact us (see below) with the email address you used at checkout. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5 to 10 days. The download key from that purchase stops working once refunded.

Privacy

We collect as little as possible.

• Buying: Stripe handles your payment and card details; we never see them. We keep the checkout reference and which download key it received, so the key can be shown again if you reload the page.
• Playing offline: your progress and settings stay on your computer.
• Online account (optional): a username and password (stored only as a secure hash), or a Google sign-in. Your Google email is never shown to anyone. We store your progress, scores, uploaded levels and mods, and moderation history. We do not sell or share any of it.
• Services we use: Stripe (payments), Supabase (accounts and online data), Cloudflare (hosting and the human check at sign-up) and itch.io (downloads).
• Your rights: ask us to show you or delete your data at any time using the contact below.
